Under the Governments Community First Scheme a local grant panel has been set up to reward projects in the Croxteth Area. Funds awarded range from £500-2500 pounds.

It is aimed at groups and individuals who have a idea/scheme that will benefit the residents. If you're just getting started or brand new to all this we can help by letting you use some of our formal bits needed for the application i.e. constitution, web address, bank account and advice if you need mentoring through the process. Just get in touch if you need a lift. The forms are simple and designed to be user friendly. The priorities below are broad, this will enable funding for a large range of projects.

The ward funding priorities for this round are:

Ø  Projects that reduce crime and anti social behaviour.

Ø  Improve the quality of life of older people.

Ø  Improve the health and wellbeing of residents.

Ø  Support local people to gain employment.

First panel sits in May, applications must be submitted online by 30th April. Please see the links below for more details.

Hi All,

Please bear with us regarding the Car Boot Sales. The committee is currently running at reduced numbers, as a consequence we are finding it more difficult to hold events.

We have had a few enquiries regarding the Car Booty and hopefully we are at a position to start up again! Please check out this portion of the website for the latest info.

The booking form on the front page states the next Car Boot is 6th May.  We are doing are best to make this a GO!  Our first booty of the year!  SORRY FOLKS ITS CANCELLED - NOT ENOUGH SUPPORT/INTEREST. KEEP CHECKING IN, MAYBE JUNE WILL BE A GO INSTEAD!

So please book using the red car boot button on the front page of the website  if you are interested in a pitch.  We have space for  40 pitches and they are starting to sell.

(If this date is changed or cancelled, we will find an alternative date in the near future. Keep checking out website and our notice boards for latest info.)

PS:- Please get in touch if you think you can help us out!

A new footpath is being considered from Parkview Road, Old Croxteth into Dam Wood and out onto Firtree Drive North. There was another path which had its entrance from Altcross Road, but in 2007 it was closed due to Anti Social Behaviour , Crime etc. When it was closed part of the closure order stated there had to be an alternative found within 4 years to maintain the public footpath.  This proposal is regarding a new entrance at Parkview Road onto the existing path and re-opening the footpath. We have met with the councillors and voiced our concerns with regard to Scrambler Bikes and an increase in criminality. At this stage it is a proposal only and the idea has not gone to planning. But if you are concerned you need to speak to the councillors to make them aware.
