What is the Dowry Money?
The council have advised us that Persimmon Homes provided the money in agreement for the council to take ownership and future responsibility for certain areas within the Croxteth Park area. The sum was agreed to represent Coucils reasonable costs for bringing the land upto a reasonable standard and maintaining it thereafter.
How much was the Dowry?
The council have advised us that the total amount of the Dowry was: £370,300.
This was split into two seperate pots:
- £245,000 for environmental improvements
- £125,300 for enhancing local facilities
How much is left in the Dowry?
We are still trying to obtain a definitive answer on this.

Our treasurer has written to the council and requested more information through the 'freedom of information act'. We have received a response, have a read and let us know your thoughts.
